He was born in Chicago, but lived in California (San Francisco Bay area, then Oceanside and Vista in San Diego County) from age 4 through college. His father had two 20-year careers, first in the Marine Corps, followed by the U.S. Postal Service. After graduation from California Western University with a degree in English literature, Bill earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1969 from Iliff School of Theology in Denver. He then moved to the Northwest and has served these United Methodist Churches in Washington: Mill Plain (Vancouver), Sedro Woolley, Bothell, Toppenish, Everett First, Redmond and Anacortes. Bill and his wife, Judy, met while he was associate pastor at Bothell and she was choir director at Snohomish, one of five United Methodist churches at which she has led choirs. When they married 29 years ago, they joined their two families together: three daughters and two sons, one of whom is a missionary, with his family in Thailand. Their spare time often is spent doing things together, such as gardening, exploring new places, enjoying their eleven grandchildren -- and working a jigsaw puzzle on a winter evening. CHELSEA HASENPFLUG is the Education Coordinator at Trinity United Methodist Church. She received her BA in Political Science and Philosophy from UW and is now working on her Masters in Teaching at Seattle Pacific University. Chelsea, an Honors graduate of Sequim High School, has also worked in church settings and tutors in the Sequim Middle School After-School Program. While at UW she was part of a Hurricane Katrina Relief Team in the 9th Ward of New Orleans. Marian, a Washington native, enjoys the outdoors, hiking, gardening and considers herself blessed to be living in such a beautiful part of this state. She has a son who is currently serving in the Air Force. Donna has served in music ministry in Missouri, Panama and Okinawa where she served as organist, pianist, and director of children and adult choirs. Before arriving in Sequim, she participated in over 40 years of Christian music, mostly with the Baptist church, Overseas Union churches, and military base chapels. She taught for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools for 20 years in Panama and Okinawa that included teaching Home Economics in the middle and high schools and music in the elementary and middle schools. After moving to Diamond Point and continuing their interest in having fun with music, she and husband, Randy direct the Diokipan Singers that entertain during the Christmas season.
