TUMC Plant Sale on May 8
It’s that special time of year for all Trinity gardeners and their friends! Our fifth annual plant sale begins at 9:30 AM Next Saturday, May 8, and ends at noon. We will be having a one-day outdoor sale of your favorite veggies, herbs, houseplants, and flower starts from our talented growers here at the church. Grab your masks and your friends and join us for our socially distanced salute to spring.
If you would like to contribute plants to be sold, feel free to drop them off at the front door of the church in saleable condition on Friday, May 7 between 10 am and noon or on Saturday morning May 8 before 9 am.
We are looking forward to seeing you and your friends in front of the church on May 8 from 9:30 AM until noon.
Even though you can’t be with those having birthdays this week, emails or phone calls are appreciated.
Sunday In-Person Services
Sunday services are now being held in the church at 10 am. As of this notice, we are still limited to 25 people in the Sanctuary, and 25 in the fellowship hall. If interested in attending, please call the office next week, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, to make a reservation. (Be sure you have had your two shots, plus two weeks, and that there is/will be a copy of your vaccination card on file at the church office. The Covid safety guidelines will be followed: wear masks, take temperatures, and social distancing.)
OnLine Video-Taped Services
The Sunday service is now being filmed and available online the next day, Monday. If you regularly watch the service on Sunday, that may leave you wondering, “What do I watch this Sunday?” This could be your opportunity to view a service you might have missed. (Go to YouTube, and enter Sequim Trinity United Methodist Church. There you can take your pick of services!) On the following Sunday, you can view this Sunday’s service and regularly watch the services a week later.
Let’s give Trinity some TLC! This Morning!
Come on out to Trinity TLC where we do light maintenance around the Church while sharing in fellowship. We meet every two weeks, and our next meeting is Friday, April 30, at 9:30 am for a couple of hours. We will be cutting grass, doing light maintenance and upkeep, some springtime work, and of course, having a cup of Rainshadow Dungeness Dark coffee and light eats, courtesy of Dick Bennett. All are welcome! For more info, call Andy Pitts at 804-724-3401.
Security Team
Now that we are returning to a weekly indoor Sunday service we are reinitiating our safety ministry focused on addressing personal safety and responding to emergency medical events occurring in our place of worship. Sadly, there has been a significant increase in the number and severity of security-related events directed at faith-based organizations over the past year.
We are looking for a few volunteers with medical experience to assist and we need additional volunteers with law enforcement, military, or security experience to serve on the Security Team. If you are willing to help our church provide a safe environment for worship, please contact Dick Bennett at (360) 797-0093 or contact the church office.
Noisy Can Offering: Sunday, May 30, 2012
This year the months of January, May, August, and October have five Sundays. Trinity UMC takes a Noisy Can Offering on each of the 5th Sundays, with a different recipient chosen by our Missions Ministry Team for each of the NCOs.
Funds for the May 30th Noisy Can Offering will be donated for back-to-school supplies. Yes, it seems a bit early to be collecting funds for back-to-school supplies in May, but we wish to have the funds on hand when they are needed. (The August 29 NCO will be just past the dates needed for school supplies.) Because of the pandemic, we are requesting donations in cash or checks – NO COINS. If you choose to donate funds with a check, please write “May NCO” in the memo section. If donating cash, please enclose funds in an envelope that is labeled “May NCO”. As always, any amounts are greatly appreciated!

Office Hours
Trinity United Methodist Church office hours are 9 am-2 pm Monday through Friday. However, due to limited access to the building during this phase of opening, we are keeping the doors locked. There is a doorbell to the right of the main door (by the office) that you need to ring to alert the office and you will be let in. It is best to call ahead so we are aware that you are coming. Thanks so much for your patience and remember when in the building to be sure and wear your mask!
